(deceased), (sold by order of the executors), comprising the famous block book of the Apocalyptic Visions of St. John, c. 1460; rare XVth and XVIth century books, with woodcuts, including Columna's Mer des histoires, Verard, c. 1505, with a folding woodcut hitherto unknown to bibliographies; a fine and extensive series of tracts by Savonarola, many with woodcuts; illuminated liturgical and secular manuscripts on vellum; books in fine bindings, including beautiful examples of XVIth century Lyonese workmanship, etc.; etc. Which will be sold by auction by Messrs.
